Full of symbolism, rich history, and often shrouded in language that can be difficult to understand, the Bible can be overwhelming. At Covenant Footsteps, our mission is to answer your questions about the Holy One of scripture, and how His long history with Israel affects your life. While we encourage all people to learn more about worship, we would like to make a few statements to clarify our beliefs on the subject.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, and is divinely inspired through His Ruach HaKodesh or Holy Spirit. As such, all scripture is valuable for teaching and is relevant for today in the lives of believers in Yeshua (Jesus).
Feast Days
The biblical festivals share the narrative of the Almighty’s redemptive plan. They are a tangible example of His kingdom, including imagery, symbolism, prophecies, and spiritual significance.
Regarding feast days, Nehemiah declares, “This day is sacred to Adonai your Elohim... Go, eat and drink and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:9-10).
The Holy One is the same today as He was in the days of Nehemiah. Truly, He will be the same forever. Thus, He enjoys celebrating with His people on His feast days. Time with Him on His special days changes the worshiper. Feast days are sacred days of joy and holy fellowship with Him.
