Joy in the Messiah and Joy at Sukkot

  • Joy is a key aspect of following the Messiah.

  • True joy opens the gates of Heaven and sustains us throughout the year.

  • Sukkot, the Season of Rejoicing, shapes the coming year with joy and blessings.

  • Joy remains constant, even during trials, because it comes from relationship with the Almighty.

Biblical Proof for the Third Temple

  • The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is sacred, but also hotly contested.

  • In Yeshua’s time, He cleansed the Temple, opposing the commercial activities taking place inside the holy precinct (Mark 11:16).

  • The idea of a Third Temple remains controversial but significant for millions across the world today.

  • Biblical prophecies of a future Temple are found in Isaiah 2:2, Ezekiel 37:26 to 28, Ezekiel chapters 40 to 48, Daniel 9:27, Micah 4:1-2, Haggai 2:7-9, Zechariah 6:12-15, Zechariah 14:20, Matthew 24:15, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, and Revelation 11:1–2.

Discussing the Third Temple

  • Knesset politicians are openly expressing hope for a Third Temple, and the return of Passover sacrifices.

  • More Jewish people are visiting the Temple Mount, indicating a shift in attitude.

  • Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is affirming the Jewish people’s right to their own holy place, and advocating for Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount.

  • Israelis are increasingly ready to regain sovereignty over the Temple Mount.

Signs of Readiness for the Third Temple

  • Jerusalem is building a light rail system, facilitating access to the Old City and Temple Mount.

  • The government is promoting the rail system for future pilgrimages to the Temple.

  • Rabbis believe the light rail will assist worshippers traveling to the future Temple.

  • A shift is occurring in Israel, quietly preparing the nation for the possibility of a Third Temple.

Preparations for the Third Temple

  • Several cornerstones for the Third Temple have been cut, thanks to the Temple Mount Faithful, and are awaiting use.

  • Architectural blueprints for the Third Temple have been finished, based on biblical descriptions and historical records.

  • The design includes modern amenities like glass, steel, and improved accessibility features.

  • A grand entryway and distinct chambers are part of the envisioned multi-structure complex.

Temple Furnishings and Supplies

  • The Temple Institute has recreated essential items like the Menorah, Table of Showbread, and Altar of Incense, along with vessels, and priestly garments.

  • Ingredients for sacred anointing oil have been safeguarded for mixing after the Temple is built.

  • Today, Israel has two red heifers which are still eligible for sacrifice, a requirement for the ashes of purification.

  • Land has been purchased to erect an altar where a red heifer can be sacrificed and burned for the ceremonial ashes.

Sanhedrin

  • An emerging Sanhedrin has existed since 2004, with plans for a dedicated Sanhedrin chamber in the Third Temple complex.

Priests and Levites

  • Researchers have identified the original sources for dyes used in the priestly garments.  The Temple Institute has delicately recreated them. 

  • The High Priest’s breastplate with twelve stones for the twelve Tribes of Israel, is ready – along with the belt, turban, and golden headplate.

  • The priestly garments have spiritual significance, with each piece symbolizing atonement for specific sins.

  • The kohanim, priestly descendants of Aaron, are being trained in a Third Temple school to perform Temple services. 

  • Temple rituals, dormant for nearly 2,000 years, are being practiced by the priests, including Passover sacrifices and the Water Libation ceremony.  This demonstrates faith in the rebuilding of the Temple.

  • Levites are also training for their roles in the Third Temple, ensuring they are ready for maintenance, logistics, and assisting the priests.

  • The priests and Levities are actively shaping the future through training, rehearsing ceremonies, and prayer.

AntiMessiah / Antichrist Desecration?

  • Will the AntiMessiah or Antichrist defile the rebuilt Temple, as mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4?

  • The term naos in this passage can mean sanctuary, outer courtyards, altar, and even individual believers as “Temples” of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19).  

  • There is a remedy for desecration.  When the Second Temple was desecrated, the priests cleansed, restored, and rededicated it for service.

Vision for the Future

  • People worldwide will come to the Temple for Sukkot during the reign of the Messiah (Zechariah 14:16).

  • How will you reach the Third Temple for worship in the future?  Imagine the anticipation, the excitement of experiencing this vividly sacred place, and the spiritual atmosphere permeating the Temple ceremonies.

  • Celebrating Sukkot today does more than look back to the Israelites in the wilderness.  It looks forward to future worship at the Third Temple.  Sukkot serves as a grand rehearsal for what is to come.
